Ingredients

  • My 1 Cup measures 240 ml
  • 1/2 Cup Sprouted Moong Beans (Green Gram)
  • 1/4 Cup Sprouted Kala Chana (Black Beans)
  • 1 Pc Cucumber
  • 1 Pc Tomatoes
  • 1 Pc Green Capsicum
  • 1/4 Cup Corn Kernels, Boiled
  • 1 Pc Apple
  • 1/2 Cup Pomegranate Pearls
  • 2 Tablespoon Green Coriander, Chopped Finely
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon or as per taste Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon or as per taste Chaat Masala

Instructions

  1. Take Sprouted Moong beans and sprouted Kala Chana

  2. Cook sprouted green gram and black gram either partially or fully.

  3. For cooking in the microwave, take the required sprouts in a bowl, sprinkle water and put it in the microwave oven for 1 or 2 minutes depending upon how soft you would like.

  4. For cooking on the gas stove, keep some water in a pan and put to boil. When the water starts boiling keep a steel colander on it and add the sprouts in the strainer. Cover the strainer with a plate. Sprouts will be cooked in the steam coming from the boiling water.

  5.  If you want to have fully cooked and very soft sprouts then best is to pressure cook them for a whistle. You may choose whichever method suits you the best.

  6. Chop cucumber (with skin), tomatoes (better, if deseeded), capsicum and apple very finely. I used my chopper for this.

  7. In a big bowl, take steamed mixed sprouts, add finely chopped onion tomato and other veggies and apple, pomegranate pearls, green coriander, salt, chaat masala and lemon juice.

  8. Toss nicely. Serve with love.

Recipe Notes

  1. Take veggies and fruits as per your liking, preference and availability.
  2. Avoid pulpy fruits like mangoes, kiwi, melons etc.
  3. It's better to cook green gram and black gram sprouts separately as the latter takes slightly more time.
