Idli Chaat Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 Pieces Idli
  • 1/2 Cup Whisked Curd
  • 2 Tbsp Meethi Chutney
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander-mint Chutney
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chat Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Nylon Vermicelli (Sev)
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Green Coriander
  • 1 Tbsp Pomegranate Pearls

Instructions

  1. Cut round idlis into small pieces, any shape you prefer.

  2. Start preheating air fryer at 180 degrees. Preheat it for at least 3 minutes.

  3. Toss in 1/2 teaspoon oil.

  4. Put these idlis in the preheated air fryer basket.

  5. Air fry these idlis for 15 to 20 minutes or till golden brown.

  6. Till the idlis are getting air fried, you do other preparations.

  7. Take out curd and chutneys from the refrigerator.

  8. Smoothen the curd with a whisk. Add water or milk if the curd is too thick.

  9. Add salt, roasted cumin powder and chat masala to this curd.
  10. Arrange air-fried idlis in a plate.
  11. Top these with curd, meethi chutney, and green chutney.
  12. Garnish with nylon sev, green coriander leaves, and pomegranate pearls.
  13. Serve with love.

Recipe Notes

  1. Preparation time is given assuming that idlis and chutneys are ready with you.
  2. You can top it up with roasted peanuts or Boondi too.
  3. Instead of air frying, you can deep fry these idlis or toast these in the oven too. What we require is crispy idlis, so use whichever method suits you.
